Medical Missions
Hello from Greg and Cindy Gamso, Medical Missions Directors for Holy Ghost Ministries. We were very
pleased about the 1st Medical Mission Project in 2008 and the wide area that benefited from the medical supplies that were
donated and the donations that were made on behalf of the mission. We are really excited about the upcoming Mission
for 2009. In 2008, we made an awesome connection in Accra, Africa with a company by the name of Vestergaard. They
were able to supply us with treated malaria nets at a reasonable cost. Our hope is to continue with Vestergarrd this
year and provide malaria nets to as many families as possible. Malaria continues to be a major contributor to deaths
in Africa and malaria nets are a simple solution to aid in the prevention of this deadly disease. Please pray for us
as we seek supporters to aid us in this wonderful mission. It is so awesome to see the smiling faces of the families
when you give them something that they know will keep their families intact. Cindy and I are planning fund
raisers this summer to help provide funds necessary for the medical mission in 2009. Having said all this about the
Medical Mission Project, let us remember that the true mission is to tell people about Jesus Christ and his love for everyone.
We look forward to sharing the Gospel of Jesus with every person that God places in our path while in Ghana. Continue
to pray for us as we prepare for the awesome moving of the Holy Spirit in Ghana, West Africa. Again, the Gamso Family
thanks each of the people that have aided us in the past Missions and we appreciate your continued support in the future. Isaiah 49:13 Shout for joy, O heavens; rejoice, O earth; burst into song, O mountains!
For the Lord comforts his people and will have compassion on his afflicted ones. God Bless, Greg & Cindy Gamso Medical Missions Directors |

In March 2009, Jason, Laurie, Grace and Olivia Rapert, made their first mission trip
in which the entire family traveled. Jason was very excited to have the family with him on the mission field. At the invitation of Pastor Isaac and Olivia DeGraft, the Raperts went to Toronto, Canada for teaching and preaching
at the Lighthouse Assembly of God church near downtown Toronto. This church is a thriving Ghanaian church plant in the
heart of Toronto that ministers not only to the families of Ghanaian immigrants to Canada, but also to the surrounding community.
"It was an honor to be invited to minister at Lighthouse Assembly of God and witness
the wonderful ministry of Isaac and Olivia DeGraft in Toronto," Jason said. When asked about his impression of the ministry
trip, Jason continued, "I first met Isaac and Olivia in Ghana several years ago, and God has continued to enlarge their borders,
bringing them to Canada. I have never met a couple more dedicated to the work of God, loving people into the Kingdom
and focused upon doing whatever they can to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. Toronto is blessed to have this anointed
couple and I expect all of Canada to be touched by their ministry in the years ahead." The DeGraft's have been active
members of HGM's work in Ghana and Isaac continues to serve on the HGM International board of directors. We are looking
forward to what God may have in store for HGM in Canada.

When I Say I am a Christian
When I say..."I am a Christian" I'm not shouting
"I am saved" I'm whispering "I was lost" That is why I chose this way. When I say..."I am a Christian" I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble And need someone to be my guide. When
I say..."I am a Christian" I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak And pray for strength
to carry on. When I say..."I am a Christian" I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed And cannot ever pay the debt. When I say..."I am a Christian" I'm not claiming to be perfect, My flaws
are all too visible, But God believes I'm worth it. When I say..."I am a Christian" I still feel the
sting of pain I have my share of heartaches Which is why I speak His name. When I say..."I am a Christian" I do not wish to judge. I have no authority. I only know I'm loved. Poem by: Carol S. Wimmer |

Dear Friends and Partners, Another year is half over,
and soon 2009 will be coming to an end. We are grateful to God for the privilege of being a part of His work through
Holy Ghost Ministries for seven years now. It seems like yesterday when HGM began. You will
be reading updates in this newsletter about various projects going on through HGM across the world in The Philippines and
Ghana. We are so happy to see what God is doing through the Minicks in The Phillipines and are overjoyed to see the
medical missions aspect of HGM growing through the work of Cindy and Greg Gamso. Very soon, HGM will be leading
another team of volunteers to Ghana West Africa for humanitarian missions. Ghana Mission 2009 is scheduled for November
19th through December 6th this year. At this time we have several people that have declared their intent to go and we
are excited about what God is going to do in Ghana this year. The agenda for Ghana is very packed as usual,
but we try to accomplish all that we can while there. An overview of the schedule includes the installation of another
water well which will be commissioned in memory of Robert "Bob" Tyler; continuing work on the 20 acre development project
in Kormantse which includes the construction of an orphanage in memory of Mike Pike; village evangelism and ministry; school
visitations and toy distributions; malaria net distributions; orphanage support; teaching and preaching; funding of the HGM
scholarship program and the Southern Ghana Bible College graduation ceremony. A special note needs to be
made regarding the orphanage development project. As most of you know, HGM began formally planning for an orphanage development in the Kormantse area in 2007. God has been opening doors
starting with the gift of approximately 20 acres to HGM International for development by the elders and chief of Kormantse
II. Our Ghana board of directors and the elders of Kormantse II continue to work on completing this transaction and
we are hopeful that this year will clear the way for construction and further work to begin. Most
recently, God has brought together Reverend James Hawks, founder and director of Expectation Ministries, out of Illinois, with Holy Ghost Ministries to forge a partnership
on the orphanage part of the development in Kormantse. James has been involved in ministry within Ghana since 1997,
planting and nurturing churches in the Accra and Kumasi areas of the nation. We are very excited about what God is doing
and believe that the Lord has brought our two ministries together to accomplish His will. One of my favorite quotes
is very relevant here - "It is amazing what you can accomplish when you do not care who gets the credit," Ronald Reagan.
James and other representatives from his ministry are planning to go with us to Ghana in November and we have faith that the
Lord will meet us as we come into covenant to bring much needed help to the orphans of Ghana. If you have
any leading from the Lord to join our mission team this year, please contact us to obtain further information and an application.
Tracy Leach is our administrator and she would be happy to speak with you about the requirements for you to participate and
send you a team packet. Immediately following the Ghana mission, I will be traveling with a small contingent
of HGM representatives to Uganda. A few months ago, I hosted Pastor Timothy Cost Ngabirano here for ministry and fellowship.
Timothy has been corresponding with me for several years now and he is actively involved in evangelism within Uganda and neighboring
Kenya. My friend has been patient with us for several years now, waiting and praying that HGM would come to Uganda -
well friends, 2009 is the answer to my brother's prayers! We will be going into Uganda to partner with Timothy for ministry
events and also to survey areas that Timothy has suggested are in need of humanitarian assistance. Uganda faces some
of the same obstacles that Ghana struggles with, but in addition Uganda has suffered intense conflict in the north that has
left thousands dead and a wake of suffering that lingers even today. Please be praying that God will anoint our journey
to Uganda and grant us favor in every area there. We are believing God for great things! Proverbs 19:17 He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the Lord; and that which he hath given will he pay him again. What a great promise from God's Word. To those that give financial support in support of humanitarian
missions, the Lord says that person shall be paid back for what he has given. Everything HGM has done
would not have been accomplished if it was not for partners and friends just like you. Thank you so much for giving
to the projects that God has instructed us to complete. Every water well, water system, church tabernacle, village feeding
program, malaria net distribution, evangelistic work, soul saved, bible student scholarship and other efforts completed through
HGM, have been made possible by YOU. You have shared in the completion of every successful project. We depend
upon God for the support that comes our way and we simply want to acknowledge to you how grateful we are that you choose to
support Holy Ghost Ministries with your prayers, goodwill and financial contributions. We hope that you enjoy
our ministry update and invite you to become a greater part of our ministry. Holy Ghost Ministries is embarking upon
several important plans that include continuing ministry in Ghana, The Philippines and developing projects in Uganda and Panama.
God has also blessed us with a building here in the United States to be used as our office headquarters and conference facility,
and we are in the initial planning stages of a major development that we will be sharing with all of you in the near future.
We put our trust in God for all that He has called us to do. Psalm 125:1 They that trust in the Lord shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abideth forever. His plans are much
bigger than we would have made, and His desires are much greater than we could ever imagine. Our lot in life is to simply
be obedient and take each step as He directs. Thank you for partnering with us to fulfill our obedience to the Lord. May God richly bless you, keep you and grant your every need. His Servant, Jason Rapert Founder & President

Philippine
Ministry
Our Philippine ministry
is doing great things for the Lord. To give you an update, we are helping Pastor Jaime and Neth Valencia and the Back
to Jesus Fellowship Church(BJFC) located near Trece, Philippines. This church was started with home Bible study groups.
They are a very poor congregation but they have established a satellite church about 2 miles from them in an area called Southville
where they are seeing the Lord move in tremendous ways. HGM has provided funding for a computer, sent 25 youth to camp
and established an educational fund.
Pastor Jaime and Neth do an excellent job of mentoring the youth and getting them involved in ministering
to the younger children. One of the young ladies in the youth group graduated from High School and feels called into
the ministry. The cost for her to attend Bible School is $400 US per semester. HGM has provided the funds for
her to attend Bible School.
The children that are being ministered to do not have the resources for school supplies, transportation
or food. HGM has established a general education fund so that BJFC can provide some of those needs. Following
is a note from Pastor Jaime on how the education fund was used. As you read the note, remember that about 45 pesos equal
$1 US.
"Thanks for the money you sent. We withdrew $1,250.00 last June 11. The $350.00 was converted to Peso
amounting P16,617.50 and put in educational fund. But we deducted P1,900.00 for Jenilyn's studies. (Jenilyn is the one student
that HGM has committed to sponsor monthly) Most of our allowance for June was spent already for Jenefer's school needs
but we trust the Lord that if God is really calling her, the Lord will provide for her needs and the Lord answered our prayers
through your response. (Jenefer is the young lady that is attending Bible school. An additional $400 was sent to cover
that expense.) There are 2 First Year College Students who were given P500.00 each for their school supplies. There are 17 High School Students who are helped and given P300.00 each for their school supplies. There are 5 children who were chosen by the Committee on Sponsorship and given P200.00 each for their school supplies. All in all, there are 26 persons who are helped by the educational fund including Jenefer & Jenilyn: = 3 College Students (1 of them is Jenefer);
= 18 High School Students (1 of them is Jenilyn) = and 5 Children
who are studying in elementary. But since Jenefer & Jenilyn were chosen and have sponsors, the amount given
to them is different. The others were helped depending on the fund left after deducting the amount needed by Jenilyn. The money was released & given to the youth & children's parents last Sunday after Worship Service. All the Youth &
Children with their parents who were given help from educational fund are required to sign in a log book for future reference
& required to submit the receipts for the school needs they bought. This is for the records on where the money from educational
funds were spent. The parents, youth & children were very thankful for your love, kindness and generosity.
This is a big help in the studies of their children because their children really lack many school needs. All of them
are praying that they will be given regular & monthly help. They were praying that many believers in Christ there in U.S.
donate small amount of dollars so they could be helped in their studies. And most of all, they are praying
they will also have sponsors like Jenilyn & Jenefer because their support is regular & really sufficient.
Before,
the parents of the youth & children are not attending Home Bible Studies. And the parents of the youth were hindering the
Youth in attending Youth Fellowship and other Church Activities. But now, all the parents of the Youth
& Children who were helped are attending Home Bible Studies. Yesterday afternoon, many parents attended our Southville Home
Bible Studies for the first time. We required the parents to attend Home Bible Study regularly once a week
and we also required the Youth & Children to attend faithfully in all church activities & fellowship. After all, this is the
main purpose of Sponsorship, not only to help them in their studies, but also to let the parents of the Youth hear the saving
grace of our Lord Jesus Christ & be saved through faith in Him. Through your financial help, many are encouraged
to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They already accepted our Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Lord & Savior & now continue
in attending Bible Studies. Though you are far & living in America, many are coming to the Lord & being saved through your
great service to the Lord, to bring people to the feet & saving grace of God. We appreciate your every
effort on helping us and our ministry. We know that you are doing this because of your love for us and love for our Lord and
this truth impact our lives very much. You are a daily source of encouragement for us. May our Never Changing
God fulfill His Words of blessings in your life as you take Him always at His Word. We love you, Jaime & Neth" As you have just read, we are able to reach many families through our educational
fund. Even in a bad economy for us, the dollar is strong against the pesos. If the Lord impresses you to
give to support this ministry, we have 2 urgent needs.
-
Educational fund.
-
Transportation fund. Since BJFC has no vehicle, a van is needed to transport workers
and members of the congregation to church and Bible studies. A multicab vehicle could be purchased for approximately
$7,000. It would hold 13 passengers.
