HOLY GHOST MINISTRIES

Allowing God to be God once again!

NEWSLETTER MAY 2007

Are you bearing fruit for the kingdom?

Luke 13:6-9

He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none. 7Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground? 8And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it: 9And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.

Have you read and understood this passage before?  Such a small passage, but such a huge message.  When reading this parable spoken by Jesus, I quickly see the Lord as the owner of the vineyard and the dresser of the vineyard as a pastor.  The tree as a child of God in the church which I believe is represented by the vineyard.  I believe this is a message for the American Church today.  The Holy Spirit reveals to me that judgment has begun in the Church and will soon come upon all of humanity.

1 Peter 4:17-19

17For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? 18And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? 19Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.

Judgment is beginning in the house of God.  Jesus is inspecting the trees in His vineyard and asking why is this tree planted in my vineyard lying dormant?  If it is not bearing fruit it should be cut down.  If it is bearing wild fruit, fruit not pure as the root of Christ, then it should be cut away.

I recently preached a message with Luke 13: 6-9 as my central text.  God is speaking loudly and clearly into my spirit these days.  I believe that God is requiring all Christians to do a self inspection of themselves to see if they are bearing fruit, and moving pastors vinedressers to preach about the holiness of God and His people.  There should be no question about who is or is not a Christian.    If we are bearing fruit after Christ, then we should be recognized as Christ-trees if you will.

We live in the end times spoken of in scripture, we live in the last days.  God is beginning to shake the nations.  Wars and rumors of wars are growing Iraq, Sudan, Ethiopia, Afghanistan, Lebanon, Israel, the United States, Pakistan, Taiwan, The Congo, Turkey, Venezuela, Iran, Russia etc.  Poverty is still rampant.  Natural disasters seem to be more violent and widespread.  Hunger and famine still grip as many as 2 billion people of our world.  In the U.S. alone, moral depravity and cultural chaos is swallowing up whole generations.  We are facing the end of humanity as we know it.  And, for the Christian, this signals the emergence of our redeemer Jesus Christ, to catch away His church in preparation for His Second Coming.

1 Thes. 4:14-18

For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

The Word of God has given us the answers to many of the questions that mankind is asking today.  There is certainty within the scriptures.  You and I as Christians need to heed Gods Word and practice it in our own lives.

Matthew 16:27

For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

When we stand before God at judgment, where we each will be rewarded according to our works for the Lord what shall we receive?  If you died this night, would you be in line for a great reward from our Lord?  What have you done for the Lord in your life?  What sacrifices have you made for the sake of the gospel?

I urge you all to seek your souls deeply.  If you have trouble distinguishing yourself from the lives led by unbelievers, then I submit you are in danger of being out of Gods will.  The Word says you are set apart as a holy people, a chosen generation.  Wake up I beg of you, and submit your life as a living sacrifice to God.

Romans 12:1

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

The keeper of the vineyard is walking through his fields, inspecting all the trees therein, cutting down those that are not bearing fruit from the root of Christ, the root of salvation and redemption.  He that hath an ear let him hear what the Spirit is speaking to the churches.

GHANA MISSION TEAM 2007

November 2007 is only 6 months away.  Fourteen Holy Ghost Partners have declared that they would like to go to Ghana in 2007 to participate in the 3rd Annual Kormantse Interdenominational Crusade and humanitarian projects.  Godd intends to do great things in Ghana I am certain.  Your prayers are essential for this our 5th mission trip to the nation of Ghana.

Pray for all of those that are planning to make this trip to West Africa.  Pray for their protection during the trip, safety for their families while they are away, and the favor of God in all things.

We are beginning to finalize projects that will be conducted, but they all need funding of course.  Please pray that the resources will be available to handle all of the projects that will be conducted in November.

THE MIKE PIKE ORPHANAGE

The Mike Pike Orphanage project is beginning to take shape, and will of course be a focus for HGM in November as well.  I recently met with a wonderful group of ministry professionals Tech Serve International.  This organization has agreed to help us in our planning and implementation of the orphanage project in Ghana.  Brother Wes Syverson and his ministry staff have supplied the technical expertise and skilled labor needed to implement various projects for missionary organizations all over the world.  We are truly blessed to have their counsel as we embark upon the Mike Pike Orphanage.  I believe Tech Serve International is performing a tremendous service to the body of Christ.

At this point, the concept for the orphanage will likely be that of a planned phase project.  We hope to begin with what is called a cottage orphanage which would house as many as 10 to 15 children with house parents.  This would be a self contained structure with kitchen facilities, living area, and sleeping quarters for everyone within the same unit.  We hope to obtain a site large enough to expand as needed.  Rather than utilize barracks for the children, we want them to experience the love of a family atmosphere.  Please continue to pray for this ongoing and developing work.  We project the initial construction phase, furnishing and implementation costs to range from $80,000 to $100,000 US dollars.  You may send your donations directly to Holy Ghost Ministries, Inc. at P.O. Box 10388, Conway, AR  72034, or you may make an online donation through this website.

HOLY GHOST PRAYER PARTNERS

Thank you for all you do to support HGM.  Your contributions, your prayers and your kind words are all greatly appreciated by me and my family.

I am personally bending some under the weight of this growing ministry and my career demands, but God is merciful and shall keep me strong as I work for Him.  Your prayer specifically for my family through this time of growth will be helpful to us.

Many of you have recently responded to the survey sent out to HGM supporters.  We appreciate this anonymous feedback, and hope to be able to add the content you desire to our ministry website very soon.  At this time, I have no full time staff to assist me.  However, Tracy Leach has been helping me greatly on an as needed basis she is always willing to help and I greatly appreciate her for that.  We hope to turn over some responsibilities regarding our website in the future to Tracy.  What a great help that will be!

Partners, thank you for standing by us.  I appreciate your prayers for our upcoming services, your notes of encouragement, your participation and your financial contributions which allow us to do ministry and humanitarian projects in the United States and Africa.  This is not my ministry, it is Gods ministry.  I am merely a steward and I want to continue to see the Holy Spirit working mightily as I have over the past few years.  As we get busier doing Gods work, please pray for my family.  Satan does not like all that we are doing for the Lord and he wars against us.  We need you to help us in spiritual warfare according to Ephesians 6.

If you have a special prayer request, or would like to contact us for any reason, please do so by writing to Holy Ghost Ministries, P. O. Box 10388, Conway, AR  72034, or contacting us at jasonrapert@holyghostministries.org.

God bless you and may the Lord move mightily in your life today!

Always ready to do His will,

Evangelist Jason Rapert
