GHANA MISSION TRIP NOVEMBER 2005
What an awesome trip to Ghana in
November 2005! I will be posting pictures on the website soon of the trip. But before too much time passes, I want to say thank you for your support of prayers and finances.
God did wonderful things in Ghana and you were a part of all that was
accomplished.
As you know, one of the primary efforts of the trip was
to commence with a water project in the area known as Upper Town Kormantse.
This was accomplished and the community has been greatly affected and invigorated by
all of the activity. The area had been without water since 1976 and it is hoped that the
water will be flowing in Kormantse again very soon. I worked hand in hand
with a Rotarian friend of mine, Mike Pike of Conway, Arkansas, to get everything coordinated in
Ghana. Mike was crucial to this effort and his life has been changed as well. The water
project came out of my inquiries in November 2004 when I first visited Ghana
with Rev. Roger Mattox. Roger met up with Mike and me in
Memphis, TN and traveled to Ghana to preach and continue
his tabernacle ministry on this trip as well. Roger stated that this was probably the
most fruitful trip he has ever taken there due to the many things that were accomplished over the
two weeks that we were in Ghana. When I receive a report
on the accomplishments of Oasis International Ministries and Roger Mattox in November 2005, I hope
to share them with you.
As far as the details on all that was accomplished through

· preached at Light
House Assembly of God in Kumasi, spoke at Southern Ghana Bible College, and preached
three day crusade service in Kormantse (see following reportfrom Rev. John Sniper)
The crusade in Kormantse was very significant. The chief of the village
called for the crusade and churches from sixteen different denominations in the community
organized the event. It was awesome. Many people were saved, delivered, baptized in the Holy Spirit,
and healed. It was the first such inter-denominational meeting of its kind in the history of Kormantse.
What an honor to be a part of it. I was humbled to preach the service each night. Every
night there were more people present. I was told that on the first night there were over 1,000, the second night over 1,500, and the third night over 2,000. It was spectacular
to see so many people from various denominations come together in one place in one accord that
is why God moved so powerfully. We are working on putting together a dvd
presentation with pictures and footage from the event that we want to share with
all of you that would like a copy. If you are interested in receiving a copy of this please e-mail
me at jasonrapert@holyghostministries.org.
The following is a report that was sent to me by Rev. John Sniper
who was the primary organizer of the crusade and an important help to me while I
was in Kormantse:
REPORT
SUBJECT:
MISSION TRIP NOVEMBER,
2005
A crusade was held in KormantseTownship during the
Ghana mission trip in November 2005. It was a three days powerful open-air crusade, which
started on Wednesday 16th November 2005 and ended on Friday 18th November 2005.
The venue was the open court in front of the chief of Kormantse
palace. The main speaker was Evangelist Jason Rapert and others were Rev.
Roger Mattox and Brother Mike Pike all of Arkansas, Conway. USA.. All Sixteen local churches of various denominations attended.
This was the first time in two decades that all denominations have put denominational barriers behind them
and have come together for a common purpose. Some of these churches are Pentecostal, Charismatic,
orthodox and the rest being local traditional churches. Members from Grace Assemblies of
God church located in a nearby village also participated fully.
In attendance were all pastors
and church leaders. The paramount chief of Kormatse and his sub
chiefs and Queen mothers also participated fully. Singing groups from the various churches performed
marvelously. Worship and praise teams from the church led the people in worship and
praises.
A little over two thousand
people attended the crusade. New members received salvation. Others received Holy Ghost Baptism
and healing. At the end of this open air crusade, Members from all the various
denominations took opportunity of the beautiful atmosphere to form a local council of churches
in Kormantse. They have since been having regular meetings.

Jesus Christ as their Lord and personal savior.
Once again and like the other
remaining days, people received deliverance. Others were set free from oppressions, depressions
and suppressions.
Many rowed on the ground and showed signs of been set free.
Conclusion.
The three days crusade held at Kormantse was a huge success. It has set the township on a new level
of spirituality. People have received Jesus Christ as their Lord and personal savior and are therefore
assured of salvation. Others have received Baptism of the Holy Spirit. Some
have been healed and many have had good counseling.
This is the best that has
happened to Kormantse in decades.

As you have just read, God did
a marvelous thing on the southern shores of Ghana in Kormantse in November
2005. I pray that He opens up the windows of Heaven upon the U.S.A. in
just the same way in 2006. Special thanks to the Rock Solid Church, Jeff & Lisa Sain, and Mary Rapert for giving so
generously to the projects in Ghana. And thanks to all Holy Ghost
Prayer partners and supporting churches that have stood with this ministry to accomplish the work
of God in America and Africa.
Ghana, West Africa - November2004

Evangelist Jason Rapert and Pastor Roger Mattox
ministering in the altar at the village
of Nyrakrom in Ghana
What an honor to be in service
to our Lord Jesus Christ! I am happy to report to you that the gospel of Jesus
Christ is being preached with signs following in the nation of Ghana in
West Africa. The November mission trip to Ghana in partnership with Pastor Roger Mattox of Faith Assembly of God in Conway, Arkansas, founder of Oasis International Ministries,
was a great success.
I am a changed man. It is one thing to watch a television program about Africa, but it is
quite another to touch, see, feel, and smell something firsthand. I witnessed
a tremendous moving of Gods spirit as we saw dozens saved, many healed, several delivered from demon possession, and countless
others touched through the ministry there.
The conditions were challenging
for us, but God gave us the strength we needed to accomplish His work. I am blessed
to have been able to be used in this needful ministry.
I have used Mark 16:15 as a verse
to cast the vision God has given me for the ministry Go ye into all the
world, and preach the gospel to every creature. Often I wondered where
God would take me in the world; never really thinking it would be Africa. My simple promise to God was that I would be faithful to go where He opened the door, and when the door
to Ghana opened, I kept my promise to
the Lord. I want you to know that my prayer partners and my church family were
used by God to help position me to be able to fulfill that which He called me to do.
Thank you for obeying God!
What follows is a sampling of
pictures taken of scenes while we were ministering in the nation of Ghana:

Part of the congregation in rented facility at Nyrakrom
The village
of Nyrakrom was once known as the largest village in all
of West Africa I am told. The Pastor of the
Assembly of God Church there is Pastor Nicholas Baa-Boyson an anointed man of God if I have ever
seen one! His ministry has grown to several hundred members in the village of
approximately 13,000. Many miracles of healing have been recorded here as well
as the deliverance of the village crazy man a demoniac by the name of Jeffrey. The
man was said to have long hair, a long unkempt beard, wearing 5 layers of clothing in the hot African sun, having long uncut
fingernails like claws, and being violent. Upon hearing of the deliverance of
the village crazy man, the chief of the village called for the pastor to come and explain what had happened. The chief told the pastor that he did not believe in such supernatural things and he would have to see
the man to believe it. Upon seeing the man with his own eyes, I am told the chief
fell to his knees in tears, calling upon Jesus, testifying that if the pastors God could deliver this man, He must be real!
Evangelist Jason Rapert with Jeffrey
The delivered demoniac of Nyrakrom!
Hallelujah! Jeffrey is now free! After being instantly set free, Jeffrey
came to himself and asked, Where am I and why am I wearing all these clothes? Pastor
Boyson took the man home with his family the very night of the mans deliverance and he has lived
as a sane man now for 2 years! Praise the Lord!

Pastor Mattox has been traveling
to Ghana now for some 15 years and has
become well known in the country for his fruitful ministry. He has a passion
to minister to the people of Ghana. Oasis International Ministry has become efficient in the construction and nurturing
of many tabernacles in Ghana. Please continue to pray for this ministry. I am looking forward to partnering with him again in the future.

Though the ministry was very successful
in Ghana, you cannot help but still be
saddened by the environment in which the majority of the people have to live in there.
The above picture was taken right beside of the road in the village
of Kromantse which is home to about 6,000 people. The village is said to be 350 years old. The
people here are 90% fisherman. I was told they have only 3 public toilet facilities
in the entire village. Some 2,000 of the village inhabitants are living in Upper Town, on a bluff
overlooking the seashore and have no access to freshwater and must carry drinking and cooking water up a very steep bluff
for their daily needs. The school facilities are in need of every fundamental
resource they could be given.

Children in front of school in the village
of Wawase.

This inadequate school shelter
is very common in the villages in Ghana. As you can see, many of the children have no shoes and wear whatever clothing they
can get their hands on. In many cases, the children have no clothing at all.

The Chief of Wawase, center, surrounded by his village council in prayer for
the crusade to be held in their village. The man to far left
was the chief elder of the village and he was saved on the last night of the 3 day crusade.
Pastor Mattox, with Pastor Charles
Arko-Nunu being an intermediary, was with Gods help able to organize a 3 day crusade in the village of Wawase. There were dozens of people saved during the crusade including the chief elder of
the village and the linquist. The chief of the village
donated land for a new church tabernacle where a brand new church has now been planted.

As the bumper sticker says READ THE BIBLE!
It is the pathway to Life.
I cannot aptly articulate just
how life changing this mission trip has been for me. I am now aware of just how
blessed we are to be American citizens and just how sheltered so many of us have been.
There is something grossly unfair in a world where a few have so much, and so many have so little. Never take for granted your circumstances in life. Be thankful
for Gods blessings in your life and be mindful to be good stewards with Gods provisions.
In conclusion, the formal mission
trip report included the following accomplishments:
Planted 1 Church, Preached 1 Crusade
with over 80 being saved - Constructed 2 Tabernacles - Helped pay for cement to pour floors in 5 churches - Preached and taught
at Southern Ghana Bible School for 3 days - Purchased land for 1 Church -
Purchased 1 freezer, 2 refrigerators
and 1 microwave for Northern Ghana Bible School Purchased Jet-laser printer and paid to have electric generator repaired,
served banquet for students and local pastors at Southern Ghana Bible School delivered neckties, suits, clothing, toys, and
gifts to various needy families in the ministry Many were healed, delivered, and/or filled with the Holy Ghost with the evidence
of speaking in other tongues.
There is much more I would like
to share with you, but there is not enough space to do so in this format. I hope
that you will be able to attend one of the services when I will be sharing my testimony about the various manifestations of
the spirit that occurred in Ghana. God bless you for your support and prayers!
Thank you for being a prayer partner with this ministry. Your prayers
are the foundation of this ministry and I appreciate your support. May the Lord
bless you and protect you always in the name of Jesus.
