What must I do to be saved, and know that I will go to heaven?   

First, you must admit that you have sinned.

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God", Romans 3:23.

Second, you must believe in Jesus as the Son of God.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life", John 3:16.

Third, you must confess your sin and leave it all behind.

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness", 1 John 1:9.

Pray the following prayer and let Jesus Christ become the Lord of your life -  Dear Lord, I come to you as a sinner.  I need Jesus in my life.  I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that He was born of the virgin Mary, died on the cross at Calvary for my sins, and that He arose from the dead after 3 days, and that He will return again.  I know that I could never earn my salvation and that it is a gift from you.  I thank you for sending your Son Jesus to save me.  I ask the Holy Spirit to come into my life and be with me wherever I go.  Lord, help me to turn away from my sin, take away every evil desire.  Forgive me for all my mistakes, my sins, my past.  Lord, today I will start living for You!  Father, let me be a light to others.  I will tell people about Jesus and how I have accepted Him as my personal saviour.  Thank you Father for saving me, in the name of Jesus, amen.

Call someone you love and tell them of your decision.  Find you a local church and let them know you have accepted Jesus Christ and ask to be baptized in water as commanded in Mark 16:15 - this is an outward sign and public declaration of your new beginning with Jesus.  Start reading your Bible and praying every day.  When you accept Jesus into your life and start living for Him, you can be assured that you are saved and will be with Him in heaven.  God bless you!
