Jason Rapert surrendered to the call of God on January 1, 2002. Since that time several doors have opened to this ministry.  He is the founder and president of Holy Ghost Ministries, Inc., a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization based in the United States, and HGM International, an NGO based in the West African nation of Ghana.  He has ministered in churches, prisons, orphanages and on the mission field in Africa.  He personally leads short term mission teams to perform humanitarian projects and evangelize in Ghana on an annual basis.

As people began following Jason's ministry activity, they began seeking information about his itinerary and music engagements with his band, Living Grace Bluegrass Gospel.  In order to handle the requests and demands on his time, Jason prayed about a name for the ministry to give it identity and immediatley he felt led to name the ministry Holy Ghost Ministries.  It was the Holy Spirit that had led him to the Lord and pointed him toward Jesus and he believes that the glory should be the Lord's - this is how Holy Ghost Ministries began.

Holy Ghost Ministries, Inc. (HGM) is a ministry that encompasses evangelism and humanitarian mission projects in the United States, Africa and most recently the Philippine Islands.  The evangelism efforts are conducted through short term mission teams, the online ministry of HGM and also through Living Grace Bluegrass Gospel.  The humanitarian missions projects are conducted through volunteers, church partners, individual partners and partnerships with civic organizations and governmental entities that are committed to alleviating poverty, hunger, disease and poor living conditions throughout the world.

Since November of 2004, the ministry has taken on a significant international role, supporting and spearheading projects in Ghana West Africa.  Through Jason's contacts in the Rotary organization and other entities, a large water project was started for the village of Kormantse on the coast of southern Ghana and was completed and dedicated for service in November 2006.  The chief of the village in Kormantse called for a community crusade in November 2005 and Evangelist Jason Rapert preached the crusade.  The crusade event was held in November of 2005, 2006 and 2007.  Thousands of local people have attended the crusades and many were saved, healings were reported, and the power of God was evident.  Sixteen different denominations have come together to support the crusade - a level of unity unprecedented in that area.  At the close of the 2005 crusade, the participants formed a permanent Interdenominational Church Council.  This is another example of the ministry of unity God is using Jason to accomplish.  The ministry has sponsored several humanitarian water and sanitation projects.

In Ephesians chapter 4:4-6, the Apostle Paul writes, "There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all."  Jason has been touched by the message of unity in the body of Christ that he believes was the intent of Jesus Christ and as encouraged by the teachings of Paul.  He believes that denominations are a creation of man and that God intended that the Church, the whole body of believers, be united in fellowship in all regards.  Jason says, "On the day of Pentecost the Church was born in unity and it should have remained so." (Acts 2:1, Acts 2:42-47).  The Word of God is full of scriptural support for the idea that the Church should be unified together to carry on the ministry of Jesus Christ to the world, (Galatians 3:26-29, Collosians 3:11 and 3:15, Ephesians 1:22-23).  In one of his sermons Jason proclaimed, "Saints, I am not preaching that the formation of denominations was intended to bring division, but they unwittingly led to divisions.  We all know this.  Most people identify more with what church they happen to belong to rather than the unity they have in faith as brothers and sisters in Christ.  Jesus wanted us to be united."  Read what Jesus says as recorded in the book of John,  "I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word;  21 that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.  22 And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one:  23 I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me." It is abundantly clear from these words of Jesus that He intended that the Church be in one accord.  Jason's heart is clear, "I believe that the Lord will bless all of us when we begin to lay aside our differences which were based more upon the doctrines of man and the traditions of men.  We will see the Power of God move mightily upon this earth again."  Let us all seek unity.  Let us repent of our divisions and come together to win the world for Jesus Christ.

Though Holy Ghost Ministries is a committed Christian organization, HGM seeks to help those who are in need of love and care no matter where they may be located or whether or not they are professed Christians.  Jesus was no respecter of persons and HGM strives to hold the same standard.  Wherever God leads, and the Holy Spirit opens the door, HGM intends to serve God by serving others.

Where evangelism is concerned, this ministry is dedicated to preaching the Word of God, a pure gospel message, without reservation. God has called us to preach to all nations as commanded in Matthew 28:19-20 "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. "

HGM is currently involved in various water and sanitation projects, an orphanage project, a scholarship program at the Southern Ghana Bible College, medical missions outreaches and traditional evangelism.
